Feel the Fear but do it anyway
So here I am again. It’s been 4 years since I was last self-employed and I have to admit to being very nervous about stepping into virtual assistance again. When I left it behind and went temping, I thought it would only be for a short time. However, when you’re offered a permanent job and there were lots of home improvement bills to pay, you tend to take the safe option…

When you’ re made redundant 4 years later and you’re happy that your home doesn’t need any more improving, you tend to feel braver about self employment again. Buying a campervan also tends to make you want a more flexible work/life balance.
I have to confess that I’m struggling to remember everything that I used to do, and I did wonder whether it was something that was still needed. But I’ve done some research and I think small businesses and sole traders will always need help with certain tasks and will probably relish not having to provide office space or equipment, to cater for that particular help.

I’ve been relearning everything that I used to do and what better way than by rebranding and setting up a new website! I am now Sweet Spot Virtual Assistance, it feels right to have a new business name, I just need to work on getting it ranked on Google. That’s where blog writing has always helped.

I have my first networking event in 4 years tomorrow, which feels very daunting but also exciting. I feel a bit more realistic second time around and know that it will take time to get my business name out there but I hope that everyone is as generous as before with sharing my blogs, recommending me and giving me a chance to prove that I am still as hard-working, loyal and creative as before. Why not see what I can do for your business.
